I guess I was destined to be in the insurance business. My grandfather was in on the ground floor of New Ireland Assurance in Dublin, in 1918. But it almost didn’t happen.

I played golf in college and planned on a career in the golf industry. I was working at a club when a member offered me a position with his agency, just for the off season. Twenty-seven years later insurance remains my life’s work.

In 2001, I completed the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter program, earning the CPCU® professional designation. Along the way I’ve worked for a few national and regional brokers. One, a subsidiary of Chubb, is where I gained invaluable experience advising successful individuals and families on a wide range of insurance needs.

In 2010, after many years working for and with some of the best in the business, I established my own agency – with one part-time employee. Now, Daly Insurance is a team of dedicated and experienced professionals.

I’ve surrounded myself with great people. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. I’m thankful for the dedication of my team. I’m humbled that so many advisors entrust us with their clients’ personal risk management. I’m pleased that many of the best insurance companies want to work with us. And I’m grateful for the tremendous clients who allow us to advise them and serve their insurance needs.

My passion for golf persists and I’ve been known to hit the links on occasion. I’m honored that Salem State University has asked me to be the next Head Coach of the golf program. I’m happy to circle back with Vikings Golf. I live in Beverly with my wife and two children.

More than a century ago, my great grandfather worked at New Ireland Assurance in Dublin. Fast-forward to 2010, my father founded Daly Insurance in our hometown of Beverly, MA, with one part-time employee. Small step to 2022, and I’m thrilled to be the ninth member of Team Daly.

I graduated Bentley University with a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. I had the pleasure to play collegiate golf, and the privilege to captain the team my senior year.

Since graduating, I’ve enjoyed diving into the business. I obtained my property & casualty insurance license and completed numerous continuing education courses with our carrier-partners. I’m excited to be collaborating with our fantastic team, clients, and colleagues, and continuing a long history in the insurance industry...and in golf, too, of course.

I have the unique distinction of being employee number one at Daly Insurance. Prior to the agency’s inception in 2010, I met with Kevin and signed up to join him on this adventure.

I am a Licensed Insurance Broker and Certified Insurance Counselor who has served as a successful account executive for several leading insurance companies and agencies in the Boston area. After graduating from Merrimack College in 1991, I began my career in the insurance industry, offering rating expertise, underwriting analysis and account management services to several major insurance carriers, including Fireman’s Fund, Crum & Forster and Chubb.  In addition, I’ve worked for two large, regional brokerage firms providing coverage placement for mid to large size clients, proposal creation and customer service management. Over the years, I’ve applied my extensive product knowledge and insurance expertise in working with both personal and commercial lines clients.

In my spare time I enjoy all Boston sports teams, cooking and baking, and occasionally relaxing on my deck.

I began my insurance career in 1998 as a case manager with John Hancock in Boston. In 2001, I accepted a workers’ compensation position with AIG in Boston, and in 2004, transferred to its Berkeley Heights, NJ office to take on the role of regional service coordinator and to manage relationships with Fortune 500 companies.

By 2006, I was mentally drained from hearing how wonderful all the New York sports teams were. I moved back to Massachusetts and joined a regional broker as an account manager in its commercial lines department. In 2009, my curiosity got the best of me; I made the switch to personal lines, continuing my career with both Marsh & McLennan and Hub International.

In January 2018, I arrived at Daly Insurance. My colleagues are extraordinarily friendly, and each brings a plethora of insurance knowledge and experience to the table. I am an avid sports fan, and in my spare time, I enjoy reading, attending Broadway plays, and going to the gym. I currently reside in Haverhill, MA.

My career in insurance started a few decades ago, working initially for an insurance company, and then with a couple of esteemed agencies in the area.

I took a hiatus from the industry for a while, putting my accounting education to work at a family-owned business.

My insurance experience ranges from a small, neighborhood agency, to nearly 15 years with a national brokerage firm. My focus has primarily been personal risk management, working with account managers and helping hundreds of insureds with coverage, billing, and claims support. I’ve also worked in agency management—responsible for agency billing, reporting, and systems support.

I’m pleased to continue my journey at Daly Insurance, with its great reputation and team-approach to service.

When not at work, I enjoy time with family, including 2 wonderful grandchildren, as well as walking and shopping with friends, reading, and baking.
